jhead software package provides manipulate the non-image part of Exif compliant JPEG files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jhead
jhead is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jhead package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jhead *
You will get with jhead package name, version, architecture and description in a table
